About this event

Gracehaven Fostering Joel and Rachel Parents

Every child deserves to grow up in a safe, loving home – yet for some, this basic need remains out of reach. According to the Straits Times, the number of children in Singapore placed in foster care due to abuse, neglect, or abandonment has more than doubled over the last decade.

We’ll be hearing more about this over breakfast with Gracehaven Fostering and long-time foster parents Joel and Rachel. Join us for some honest conversations about the real challenges and rewards of fostering in Singapore, including:

  • Why every child needs a safe place to grow and thrive
  • How a strong, stable and family-based care is important for a child’s emotional and behavioural development
  • What are the emotional and practical demands of fostering – and the support available

Come and discover how fostering brings hope – one child at a time.

  • Date: 27 September 2025, Saturday
  • Time: 10am – 12pm
  • Venue: 8 Burn Rd, Trivex (near Tai Seng MRT), Singapore 369977
